WHAT EXACTLY IS AN ARTIST BOOK?humm...I'm not going to put a "correct" answer here. Get online and you will be able to find all the definitions you want. I will just tell you what my artist books are all about, ok!? My handmade artist books are different from my handmade zines because the focus here is not about 'readers' understand my points or what I have to 'say'. What's important here is that I spread my feelings and thoughts on the pages. What you can feel is part of me. Different people will experience different feelings form my artist books. And that's the beauty of art, isn't? |

BROKENBROKEN is an honest story book with minimum words on the pages and minimum strokes on the drawings. It shows a different voice of me. Viewers should be about to 'feel' me.   One meaning of my handmade books' existence is to share a part of me with the viewers. Through interactions with the pages, viewers could feel and touch my heart. This is what my handmade artist books are all about. My creations served as keys even to myself to reach the part of me that's not easily located. Do not worry about keeping my books 'new' nor worry you may 'break' it. They want to be out. They want to be touched and played with. They want to be 'heard'! |
